On Thursday, 10 April, diplomats from Türkiye and Israel met in Azerbaijan to discuss each others' involvement in Syria in an effort to reduce the risk of conflict.

On Sunday, 30 March, the Sudanese Armed Forces retook Khartoum two years after being driven out of the city by the rebel Rapid Support Forces.

On April 2, Myanmar’s ruling military junta announced a 20-day ceasefire following a 7.7 magnitude earthquake last week. The ceasefire came after continued attacks on civilian and military targets. In a statement, the junta said that the ceasefire will be observed as long as its opponents neither conduct offensives nor regroup. Since the announcement, 16 attacks carried out by the junta have been reported to the United Nations.
