[PROTEST] Women's Day Protest in Berlin Met with Police Violence, 28 Arrested
Women and allies in the German capital Berlin marched on Saturday, March 8th for International Women’s Day, to protest in solidarity with women around the globe facing repression. Peak attendance at the march was reported at 3,700 protesters, with a strong presence of pro-Palestinian activists.

[CLASH] 742 Civilians Evacuated From Catatumbo, Colombia as FARC-EMC, ELN Violence Escalates
According to Colombia’s Ministry of Defense, 742 civilians have been evacuated from the country’s Catatumbo region, located in the northeastern department of Norte de Santander on the border with Venezuela, as conflict surges between a splinter faction of the now defunct Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) known as the Estado Mayor Central (FARC-EMC) and members of the National Liberation Army (ELN).

[CLASH] M23 Captures Bukavu
On Sunday the Rwandan backed rebel group M23 captured their second city, Bukavu, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DR Congo). This comes after the group captured Goma in late January. Congolese officials also claim Rwandan soldiers were with M23 during the capture of Bukavu, though Rwanda has so far denied all claims made by the DR Congo, as well as the UN, that its troops are involved in the fighting.
